Come Back to Me

I see your smile when strangers pass
As I look for your face in the crowds.
I hear your voice in the whispering grass
Though I walk with my head in the clouds.

I feel your touch in the warmth of the sun,
The caress of the summer breeze.
I see you dance in the ripples that run
Through the leaves of the swaying trees.

But all the world is silent and bare
In the cold sad light of the moon.
I peer in the shadows but no one is there.
Oh please come back to me soon.
